Energy Industry

Energy industry is one of the most upcoming industries in the present scenario. By energy we mean the power sector. Power generation is one of the most important sectors of our economy. The main source for power generation is coal.

There are many industry leaders in the energy sector. Initially it was coal and natural gases which were used to transform into energy. But now with the advent of technology water and other resources are used to convert it into energy. Now with the help of new technology even waste management has come into the picture and the same is used to convert it into power.

Also another factor contributing to energy industry is the ever increasing demand for power. The government all over the globe is facing the crisis of power shortage. But the rich nations have the equity or the money to buy power or they can barter power for any other commodity.

But developing countries like India have to rely on their own sources for fulfilling the power needs. Of their own. As of now we do have government power plants and private power companies like Reliance and Tata…but the power is expensive to buy from private sectors of power producers. So the government prefers buying power rather than utilizing its resources to the optimum and generating it. Many a times because of political interference also the nations suffer because they are forced to buy power from multi nationals and pay a higher price for something which could have been bought or produced in house at a much cheaper rate.
